Victims of Rimbi bus accident share their story


Recently the managing directors of Zebra Kiss busses and Rimbi Tours buses apologised to the nation for the Mutoko road accident, which killed one person and seriously injured seven others. The Zebra Kiss and Rimbi Tours managers apologised to the public

The accident occurred on Tuesday when a Rimbi Tours bus which was racing a Zebra Kiss bus, crashed into a tipper truck near Mutoko, along the Harare-Nyamapanda highway.

Tangisayi Mapuranga, the managing director of Zebra Kiss and his counterpart from Rimbi Tours apologised to the nation on Thursday in a joint statement.

The Zebra Kiss and Rimbi Tours owners apologised to Zimbabwe, the Ministry of Transport, and their association.

Zebra Kiss also emphasised that they had suspended their driver pending dismissal for his reckless conduct, which endangered the lives of many passengers.

Rimbi also said that his company would cover all the hospital bills for the people who were injured in the accident. In addition, Rimbi will also cover the funeral costs for their conductor, who is the only person who died in the accident.

Speaking to the Herald, one of the victims have narrated her story stating that Rimbi tours crew has not helped in any medical bills at this moment and all the help they are getting is from Zebra Kiss
