Zimbabwean Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga’s estranged wife Marry Mubaiwa, in a life-threatening condition in hospital, will be amputated her right arm due to a severe sepsis syndrome characterised by deep infection after revision surgery to fix a re-fracture.
Marry’s lawayer Beatrice Mtetwa told the court today that she is in a serious condition and is due for amputation of her right arm.
Marry has been denied permission to access treatment outside the country. She collapsed at the court yesterday after previous similar collapses.
Marry’s right hand deep festering wound was first brought to light through a collage of photos and a story done by The NewsHawks after an interview with her at her home on 4 December 2020.
Since then her septic wound has worsened and now doctors say she has to be amputated.
