Youth empowerment has necessitated the growth of Small to medium enterprises in Zimbabwe. On the other hand entrepreneurship has been the driving force in making sure that all the gaps in the business sector are covered. With many crying out that the environment is harsh , others have embraced the adversity and have created business ventures out of it.
Speaking to Tinevimbo Chikanyawu a young lady from Harare ,she described how she started her business venture with very limited resources. All she had was an idea and she had to connect the dots to make everything work .
Her company is called Duchess and provides services such as wedding planning , wedding management , wedding designing ,lobolas , bridal showers among others.
As a planner the goal is always to think away from the normalcy and making sure you remain relevant and competitive , she had this to say after being asked on how she manages her business well. Tinevimbo has managed to handle glamorous weddings ,lucrative events and many love story activities that call for ideas beyond the ordinary human mind.
She says her vision is to grow the business into a huge organization that will attract high profile people . In the recent years she has been focused on creating a good brand name which has resulted in the business growing considerably.
It is very important for many other aspiring young people out there to pursue their goals and realize that the best capital they require is the idea and the courage to pursue it . There is no limit to what one can achieve as long they set their mind to it.
