Being a celebrity comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. Celebrities are making big money quick, endorsement deals from big companies knocking on their doors, huge following and millions of followers engaging with on social media platforms. This celebrity worshiping has caused many personalities to go out of their way to meet the expectation of their fans. A perfect example is when female celebrities bleached their skin to gain acceptance and increase fame.

There are many reasons why celebrities bleach their skin. Majority change their appearance to get more business deals, other celebrities embarked on the course because they prefer a lighter complexion

1.Kelly Nonhlanhla Khumalo

Kelly Khumalo has openly admitted to bleaching her skin. She has never been shy to tell Mzansi that she bleaches her skin and she often shares contacts of her skin bleaching products suppliers

2 Ayanda Ncwane

Ayanda Nwcane was accused of skin bleaching after an old photo of her resurfaced on the internet .When a Twitter user compared how Ayanda looked years ago and now, the difference in skin complexion was noticeable.

3. Dj Zinhle

When DJ Zinhle posted a picture on her twitter timeline during a #10yearchallenge she was accused of skin bleaching by Mzansi. A twitter influencer claimed that her skin bleaching was on steroids. Dj Zinhle didn’t appreciate the shade and snapped back firmly.

4. Bonang Matheba

Bonang Dorothy Matheba was accused of skin bleaching by her fans. The media personality didn’t clap back to the rumors perhaps because the rumors were ridiculous.

5. Khanyi Mbau

Khanyisile Mbau is another Mzansi celebrity who has openly admitted that she bleached her skin. Khanyi said she bleached her skin due to proffessional reasons.

The actress believes that her current skin tone results in less work for the lighting crew and less time spent on makeup.
