VETERAN musician the late Zex Manatsa who died this Thursday, has been granted state assisted funeral ahead of his burial on Sunday.
Following consultations with His Excellency the President, Emmerson Mnangagwa, the Acting President General Retired Dr Constantino Chiwenga has announced in a statement that the late music icon Zex Manatsa, has been accorded a state assisted funeral in recognition of his immense contribution to the music industry.
The Chipo Chiroorwa hit-maker who succumbed to multiple myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells this Thursday, is set to be buried on Sunday at Warren Hills Cemetery in Harare.
A funeral service was held at 2 pm yesterday at a local funeral parlour as the nation remembers one of its music icons to ever grace the music fraternity and today the legend has been laid to rest.
