Every year Zimbabwe’s main opposition leader Nelson Chamisa does a Christmas and gift get together for the elderly in townships.
Today Zimbabwe Republic Police stopped the event in the old township of Highfield.
The elderly were terrified when the riot police officers kitted with button sticks stopped the event from going ahead.
This is the closest these elderly people would have gotten to a decent Christmas, but alas, it is now gone.
